It is January in Michigan and we have mud like its March.  So I drove  3 1/2 hours north to find some snow.  Some last minute planning snagged us some great room rates at Crystal Mountain.  After a hectic afternoon of packing, cleaning and sports practice we made it at midnight.  Even though I knew we would arrive super late the thought of waking up and skiing was way more appealing than getting up early and driving, unpacking and then skiing.  Kids and dog are sleeping. I am wide awake listening to the snow-groomer. Hopefully wine will help 😳🍷.
